Overview
ALNB’s annual Small Works Show invites artists of all levels to exhibit—and sell—gift-sized originals during the holiday season. This is a non-juried exhibition and open to the public (no membership required). All artwork submitted must be listed for sale. 

Entry Fees
Artists are invited to enter up to five (5) entries
- ALNB Members: $5 per entry (membership will be verified at drop-off)
- Non-Members: $10 per entry
- Fees are non-refundable. Payments are accepted via cash, credit card, or check

- Submission Deadline: November 14th, 2025 at 11:59pm


Receiving of Works

All accepted work must be hand-delivered to The Art League of New Britain on:

Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 from 10am - 12pm and 5pm - 7pm
Thursday, November 20th, 2025 from 5pm - 7pm
Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 from 10am - 1pm


Pick Up
Sunday, December 21st, 2025 from 4pm - 6pm
Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025 from 10am - 12pm and 5pm - 7pm

Eligibility
- Open to all artists aged 18 and older.
- Artwork must be listed for sale with a minimum sale price of $50
- Works must have been completed in the past three years, be original, and not previously exhibited in any ALNB show. 


Submission Requirements & Guidelines
- Artists will be assigned wall space on a first-come, first-serve basis. Artists will hang their own work. Bring a hammer. We have hardware. Wall labels will be provided for artists to fill out.

- Limited amount of bases available for sculpture.

- No copies or reproductions of original art allowed.

- All original media accepted. Digital art IS acceptable, with the exclusion of AI generated imagery.

- Size Guidelines:
Artwork must be no larger than 14 inches in any direction.
Artworks total combined width, unframed, not to exceed 70 inches.
All 2D works MUST be ready to hang with wire or D-rings/ screw eyes. NO EASEL BACK FRAMES. The exceptions are prints on metal that have the keyhole hanger. All canvases must be framed, except for gallery wrap canvases with painted sides.
Matted or floated unframed work in plastic sleeves is allowed. We provide binder clips.

3D work- The Art League has a limited number of sculpture bases. Oversized sculptures are welcome if the artist supplies a base. Wall reliefs may not exceed 8” depth or a maximum of 40 lbs.  Accepted work must remain on display until the show closes, including those that are sold. All accepted work must remain on display the entire time.

- Image files must be jpg, under 4 mb, and in sRGB colorspace. For best results, images should be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side @ 72 dpi

Gallery Hours
During this exhibition, the Art League of New Britain will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 1:30-4 pm.

You may be asked about your availability to sit once you are accepted.

Sales & Commission
Entry fees will be collected at drop-off.

Artwork must be listed for sale.

Sales are cash and carry.

$50 Minimum sale price on all works. All sales Cash & Carry. Cash, checks, & credit cards accepted.

In the event of a sale, the artist can replace the sold work with another one for the same cost of an additional piece ($5 for members, $10 for non-members). will be charged per sale.

The Art League of New Britain receives a 30% commission on art sales.

6.35% Sales tax.

By entering this show, you agree to all stated conditions. Art League of New Britain, its officers or agents, and the venue assumes no responsibility for loss or damage of any kind during transit, drop off, storage, exhibition, or pick up.

Submission of all artworks, framing, and other materials is at the sole risk of the artist. ALNB reserves the right to photograph work or use submitted images for publicity. The show committee reserves the right to reject work for any reason. There will be no substitutions. The ALNB is not responsible for any loss or damage to any artwork whatsoever. Artists exhibit at their own risk.
