Dreaming of Spring: Members Juried Exhibition
Exhibition Dates: March 6th – March 29th, 2026
Opening Reception: Friday, March 6th, 2026, 6–8 PM
Location: The Art League of New Britain, 30 Cedar Street, New Britain, CT
The Art League of New Britain invites members to participate in Dreaming of Spring, our annual juried exhibition celebrating the season of renewal, rebirth, and creative awakening.
As the world thaws and color returns, artists are encouraged to interpret the spirit of spring in their own way — through light, growth, transformation, or simply the joy of new beginnings. This theme is intentionally open to all forms of artistic expression, welcoming both literal and abstract interpretations.
All mediums and styles are encouraged. Whether your work reflects the natural world, personal change, or the energy of fresh ideas, Dreaming of Spring is an opportunity to share your vision of what it means to begin again.

About The Juror
Ted Efremoff is a Professor of Photo, Video, and New Media at Central Connecticut State University. His work explores issues of displacement, marginalization, and integration, extending from human societies to the broader impact of human activity on the natural environment.
Efremoff is deeply interested in the literal and metaphorical travel through space and time that storytelling makes possible. The narratives in his work focus on the creative solutions people develop as they navigate their daily lives, revealing human creativity as something embedded not only in art, but in ordinary, lived experience.
Through his practice, Efremoff seeks to foster dialogue and encourage viewers to question their relationship to environmental and political status quos. He views collaboration as a powerful tool for building critical connections between people, valuing the challenges of creating for—and with—others as opportunities for discovery, discourse, and shared understanding.
